Pricing

Generally speaking, and this is only a loose guide, a basic small web site starts from about £200 for a two year period. Medium sites are around £500 and large e-commerce sites start at around £1000, although the latter does come with additional charges such as credit card handling charges etc.

In all honesty though to give an exact price on this web site for a service that is tailor made and unique to each customer is very difficult and can be misleading to a potential customer.

There are a few things that we can say though......

When the consultation with yourselves has finished and we have all the ideas and a basic format for your new web site, a price is agreed. This price is fixed and subject to normal conditions, it is a one off payment for a two year period. No matter how many times you want the site updating or revamping in that two year period. Once the two years come to an end then you would be invoiced for the next two years.

Unlike many other web designers we do not charge per page, each image or banner etc. One price for two years.

If on the other hand, sometime in that period you want to change it to an e-commerce site or double, triple its content, then there would be additional charges. On the whole if you want general run of the mill changes then it’s all covered.

All our quotations include, domain name registration, e-mail addresses and e-mail forwarding, search engine optimisation on a regular basis and full reports on your web site activity from your viewers.

The same price can seem cheap to one customer and very expensive to another customer. When you know the total cost of a web site, and please shop around, then look at what you can save.

  • A web site can save you a great deal of money when it comes to advertising in the press. If you’ve had big colourful adverts in the local press, £500 - £1000 perhaps more. It could have been in a monthly magazine or a one off print in the local rag. Next time put your advert in the classified section or a smaller colourful advert, put your web address on it and lead them straight to many pages with up to date images and pricing.
  • Getting your name out there is crucial. Your invoices, letterheads and business cards can all have your web site on it. The biggest form of advertising your name is if your have a vehicle, company van or a fleet of vehicles. It does not cost much money to add the web site address to these vehicles.
  • When you speak to a potential customer on the phone or face to face, tell them the web site and let them see for themselves how better you are compared to your competitor. Having big flashy brochures that cost a great deal of money are good sometimes, but to get them at a fair price you have to thousands printed. OK if you are at a trade fair, but, change your prices or product in any way and those thousands of brochures still on the shelves are next to worthless. You web site can be changed in a matter of hours and with us, no extra charge.
  • If you want to sell you products direct to the public a web site is the best media, known as an e-commerce site. Take the order and the money over the internet and increase you sales

These are just a few examples on saving you money in the long term and when you add up your advertising costs for a two year period, compared to a web site, the web site works out more cost effective.
